Terms and Conditions
Last updated: 16 October 2026
These terms apply when you create an account for, pay for or use the Business Management short course (the “course”) offered by Habakkuk Academy (“we”, “us”). Please read them before you enrol. By creating an account or paying, you agree to these terms.
1. The course is non-accredited
The course is a non-accredited short course for personal and professional development. It is not registered on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF), does not carry NQF credits, and is not accredited by SAQA, the QCTO, any SETA, any university or any professional body. Completing it does not give you a formal qualification, a professional designation or a licence to practise.
Employers, institutions and other third parties decide for themselves how much weight to give a non-accredited certificate. We do not promise that the course or certificate will lead to employment, promotion, admission to further study or recognition of prior learning.
2. What you get
- Online access to the guided course: 10 modules of short lessons and knowledge checks.
- Automatic saving of your progress.
- On completing every lesson and knowledge check, a downloadable non-accredited Certificate of Competence with a unique certificate ID and a QR code linking to a public verification page.
The course is educational and general in nature. It is not legal, financial, tax, labour-relations or other professional advice. Get qualified advice for decisions about your own business or employment situation.
3. Your account
- You must give accurate information, including your full legal name as you want it to appear on your certificate. You are responsible for checking the spelling before you begin.
- Your account is for one person. Do not share your login or let anyone else complete the course for you.
- Keep your password secure and tell us promptly if you think your account has been used without permission.
- If you are under 18, you need the consent of a parent or guardian to enrol.
4. Price and payment
The course is sold for a once-off fee. Prices are set in US dollars (USD) and can be displayed in other currencies using live exchange rates for your convenience. Displayed conversions are estimates. Payment is processed by Paystack in South African rand (ZAR), and the exact ZAR amount is shown before you pay. Your bank or card issuer may apply its own exchange rate or fees. Full details are in our Payment and Refund Policy.
5. Access
Your access starts once your payment is confirmed and continues for as long as we offer the course, and for at least 12 months from enrolment. If we ever withdraw the course, we will give you reasonable notice so you can finish, and your certificate (if already issued) will remain verifiable.
6. Certificates
- Each certificate shows the learner’s name, completion date and a unique certificate ID, and is clearly marked as a non-accredited Certificate of Competence.
- Anyone with the certificate ID or QR code can view its verification page, which shows the learner’s name, completion date, certificate ID, issuer and non-accredited status.
- Once issued, the name on a certificate can only be corrected by contacting us. We may ask for reasonable proof of identity.
- We may revoke a certificate obtained through fraud, impersonation or a breach of these terms. A revoked certificate will show as revoked on its verification page.
- You may not alter a certificate or present it as an accredited qualification.
7. Acceptable use
You may use the course materials for your own learning. You may not copy, resell, publish or share the course content, try to access other learners’ data, interfere with the website, or use automated tools to complete the course.
8. Intellectual property
All course content, branding and certificate designs belong to Habakkuk Academy or its licensors. Buying the course gives you a personal, non-transferable licence to use it for learning.
9. Availability
We work to keep the course available, but we can’t guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, internet outages, load-shedding or third-party service issues may occasionally affect access.
10. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, including the Consumer Protection Act, 2008 and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act, 2002, our total liability to you in connection with the course is limited to the amount you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under South African consumer law that cannot lawfully be excluded.
11. Privacy
We handle your personal information as described in our Privacy Policy.
12. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. The version shown here at the time you pay applies to your purchase. We will not change the terms of a purchase you have already made to your disadvantage.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa.
